Terms of Service
1. Service
FirmShield provides cybersecurity readiness verification and evidence management for law firms, including Microsoft 365 security checks, policy management, and reporting tools.
2. No warranties
The service is provided "as is." FirmShield does not warrant that the service will prevent security breaches, ensure regulatory compliance, or result in insurance coverage.
3. Not legal advice
FirmShield does not provide legal advice. Policy templates and questionnaire answers are starting points that require review by qualified legal counsel before use.
4. Microsoft 365 access
By connecting your Microsoft 365 tenant, you authorize FirmShield to access security configuration data via read-only application permissions. You may disconnect at any time.
5. Customer responsibilities
- Review all reports and exports before submission to clients or insurers
- Maintain accurate terminated employee records
- Ensure appropriate admin consent is granted for Microsoft 365 access
- Approve questionnaire responses and policy content before client or insurer use
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FirmShield's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.
